Selected Stories
In or about 2008, I represented a Client who ate what he expected to be a chocolate covered peanut and thought he had bit into a rock. It turned out to be a bone, likely from an opposum, that had apparently made it “into the mix.” The matter was settled pretrial.
In or about 2011, I represented a Client accused of murder and attempted murder by winding down the Client’s business, arranging for safe care of the Client’s minor children and working with the family to clean, renovate and then sell the family home. Although I did not represent the Client at the criminal trial, nor on appeal following conviction, I developed a close bond with an amazing Client and the Client’s close-knit family.
In or about 2019, I represented logistics companies seeking to establish relationships and execute distribution agreements for the intermodal transportation of technology, heavy construction and related materials. The experiences opened my eyes to the interdependency of the supply chain.
In or about 2023, I assisted in the establishment of CC&Rs, a homeowners association and related components for a multi-unit subdivision being developed in Southern California. The exposure to California’s Department of Real Estate and to the prolific number of important decisions to be made for future residents helped me understand one of the most enduring fields in the State.
